Australia Day 2026 at CCYS - Join us for an unforgettable Australia Day celebration at the Cairns Cruising Yacht Squadron! Enjoy two live bands, a giant water slide, and a BBQ lunch from 12-2pm. Enter our best dressed competition, participate in games and entertainment for all ages, and try your luck in our raffle with all proceeds supporting Sailability. Bring the whole family for a day of fun, food, and community spirit by the water!

Anchor Drop is a one-day original music event on the banks of Chinaman Creek, held at Cairns Cruising Yacht Squadron. Featuring another stacked lineup of incredible local talent. With a licensed bar and kitchen on site, plenty of parking, picnic-perfect surrounds, and heaps of room to move, Anchor Drop is equal parts party and hangout. Come early, stay late, bring a chair or a rug, and settle in for a full day of grooves, energy, and unity on the water. Exciting acts are on the way!
