Cairns Cruising Yacht Squadron and our award-winning Hook & Sail catering team can take care of all your events, from weddings to birthday parties, family gatherings, and much more.
Our lower level can be hired and offers stunning views overlooking Smiths Creek and the mountains covered in rainforest beyond. Our team provides excellent service along with a wide variety of menus to suit all tastes.
The lower level offers endless possibilities for all your events and features a covered bandstand with a stage. The area can comfortably accommodate over 300 guests.

Special Occasions
The Cairns Cruising Yacht Squadron, in conjunction with our award-winning catering team, has a function room that can be hired, accommodating up to 120 people.
The facility features a private bar along with male and female cloakrooms. The room is fully air-conditioned, equipped with cooling fans, a data projector and screen, and complimentary Wi-Fi. Additionally, the room includes a self-serve state-of-the-art coffee machine.
Room capacities:
- Theatre Style: 120 people
- Seated Dinner: 100 people
- Cocktail: 100 people
- U Shaped: 50 people
- Classroom Style: 60 people
Rectangular and circular tables are available upon request when discussing the format for your event.

WELCOME TO HOOK AND SAIL
We can offer a wide range of menu options as well as organise a delicious beverage package. All equipment is supplied (unless you are after something out of the ordinary then a hire fee may apply). If its entertainment you’re after than we have you covered.
Our ethos is to support FNQ local business and we work very closely with a range of local suppliers. Not only can we service you at The Cairns Cruising Yacht squadron. We also offer a range of catering options, including business lunches, private parties, weddings and anything in between. 10% surcharge on food cost for all weddings and dietary requirements. Prices are subject to change pending availability, however we always honor our quotes up to 6 months.
We are passionate about creating events of all sizes for a wide range of clients. With over 30 years experience in hospitality whatever the occasion we know that the key ingredients, the things that are most important to you are. Exceptional service and exceptional products.
We can provide a quote for any additional tables, chairs, crockery, cutlery, linen, chair covers P.O.A.

Menu prices provided include chefs, food and cooking. They do not include any additional equipment required or wait staff as each event is different.
